Mindfulness & Yoga: A Path Towards Mental Health
Dr. Deanna Mason and Dr. Kendell Banack will be offering a six-week group geared towards using mindfulness and yoga to support mental health. The mental health benefits of mindfulness and yoga are well documented. This group is suitable for those struggling with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, or the aftermath of trauma. It is also suitable for those looking to build self-care resources and psychological resilience.
The group will begin with a 40-minute psycho-edcuational segment led by Dr. Banack followed by a 60-minute yoga practice guided by Dr. Mason with a focus on compassionate awareness. No previous yoga experience is required.
