Emotion Focused Therapy for couples guides our approach to couples therapy. Using EFT, the therapist helps the couple identify and break free of negative patterns of interacting. This allows for new, more empathic ways of responding to one another, and ultimately a more satisfying relationship.

Couples counselling is appropriate for couples who are married, common-law, living together, or living separately.

A book many couples find helpful in conjunction with couples therapy is Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love by Dr. Sue Johnson.

Couples work using Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy is guided by the research and clinical experience of Dr. Leslie Greenberg and Dr. Sue Johnson.

“Being the 'best you can be' is really only possible when you are deeply connected to another. Splendid isolation is for planets, not people.”

-Sue Johnson
